Upon his passing, Henry Huntington left behind his estate, which he ordered to be converted to a lush botanical garden. Now known as the Huntington Library and Botanical Garden, you can take stroll though the many acres of gorgeous gardens and even look at a 1455 Gutenberg bible.

Step 4 Go shopping at Paseo Colorado

Get some great bargains at the Paseo Colorado, a local market place that has 500 restaurants and cafes and local artisans. This urban village also has 14 cinemas and distinctive buildings.

Step 5 See a live performance

The playhouse District, which includes the Pasadena Playhouse, is at the heart of Pasadena. There are several shows that run daily and even let visitors participate in some productions.

Step 6 Visit Los Angeles

Book a seat on the Goldline train and in less than half an hour you will be in Los Angeles, California, at their Union Station. Seats are roughly $2.00 each way.
