What are some under-appreciated computer hardware components that small businesses overlook at their peril?

There really are at least three under-appreciated computer hardware components that any small business – or, really, anyone – should want to incorporate into his or her personal/business computer. Those components are as follows: UPS Battery; Seagate hard drive; and a Belkin wireless adaptor. Here is why you should look into getting all three of them.

Step 1 – The UPS Battery

Every computer benefits from being connected to a power supply that is uninterruptible – which is what a UPS power supply is. Also, a UPS battery – featuring the battery along with an inverter and charge and portable case – is very mobile; it never hurts to have components that can be easily transported. Finally, any such batter offers backup electrical power and is integral whenever you have computers that are running critical operations for your business.

Step 2 – Seagate hard drive

The Seagate Hard Drive gives you massive storage space for your computer – and this is crucial in a day and age when media is so often downloaded by firms seeking information on different products, markets or new regulations. At the same time, Seagate’s new Barracuda 7200 is the first 1.5 terabyte hard drive for desk tops and it offers (as this writer can attest) fast boot, application start up and fast file access.

Step 3 – The Belkin Wireless Adaptor

Besides being easy to install, the aforementioned Belkin Wireless Adaptor has other advantages: it speeds up your internet connection and such wireless adaptors allow your desktop or your laptop PC to access wireless networks without any difficulty. Furthermore, by simply adding a USB adaptor, you can get just about the fastest internet connection you can possibly find anywhere.

The three hardware components above are only little things in many ways – but they can help you and help your business; for that reason alone, you should give them definite consideration.
