You have to keep all your records and documents in order to be able to file easier at the end of the year. Home business owners have their own set of allowable deductions that differ from other businesses. You have a chance to save a lot of money by knowing how to take advantage of you home business situation.</p>
<p>Know what your deductions are. There are several deductibles that the home-based business owner is entitled to. There are auto/vehicle deductions that can help with mileage, gas, insurance, and/or other related expenses. You can write off your business cards and stationary, plus any business meals and entertainment. All business traveling expenses, education, and even the interest on your business credit card can be counted in your favor. If you use a computer the Internet service and web page related expenses could be deducted as well. Office furniture, supplies, your phone and other communication devices are also necessities that have deductions. Any postage or delivery of goods charges is also considered a business expense. The home-based owner can also get deductions on rent and utilities that keep the business running. Deductions that you will want to use on your 1040 form are:</p>
<p>* Half of your self-employment tax amount, which can offer you a huge savings.<br />
* As much as 100% of your medical insurance costs for you and your family.</p>
<p>If you make more than $600 per year in self-employment you must file your taxes. You may qualify for the C-EZ form if you have had a bad year or just got started. Your total business expenses will have to be less than $5000 for that year; you have no inventory, or have to file a 4562 form (depreciation and amortization form). Make sure first and foremost that your expenses are less than $5000 and that you have taken all the deductions you are entitled to.</p>
<p>A large decision is who will be doing your taxes. You need to decide if you plan to do them yourself or if you want someone else to do them for you. There are several advantages in using a tax professional. They can save you much time and unneeded frustration. They can spot deductions you might miss or not know about. It also saves you from being responsible for any errors that were made in the preparation, which could end up saving you thousands. No matter how you decide to prepare your taxes be sure to claim all possible deductions to save you money in the long run. A business has many breaks for the taxpayer for a reason and you should make sure you know what you qualify for and how to save.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Step 1:</strong> Early on, there were only comic books and video tapes that people brooded over to have a good laugh, but today there are so many websites available for the same. These websites are filled with funny crazy pictures, funny video clips and allow the user to surf through and watch any video they wish to. They can either watch the top rated ones or specify a search keyword and look for that one particular video. However, building a funny video website is not as easy as it seems. If an individual wants to create a website, they need to go through a rigorous process. And so, you can imagine the amount of details involved for a company to launch a website. Their main content would be based on humor and interactive flash games only.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2:</strong> Once a company decided to get into the funny video website category, they will need to assess the other websites already existing in the market and what they can offer that isn’t already there. As they discuss these issues with their team, they will also have to touch base with a good web hosting company to figure out if they can use their domain for the upcoming website. A funny videos website consumes a lot of bandwidth, so a dedicated server is usually required for hosting. The one thing to keep in mind is that every step of the way takes a lot of effort, so one must have a clear cut budget before delving into this pool. </p>
<p><strong>Step 3:</strong> A website needs bright appealing colors, simple easy to use layout and most importantly content that will catch the eye of the person browsing through the site. If they find it interesting, they will stop and spend couple of more minutes, else will move on to other websites. A good PHP or ASP programmer can do the customized coding and put in all the necessary links, but it is difficult to find someone who will understand your needs and create a site that satisfies your dreams. The funny images and videos that you put in your site should be unique and be humorous. Some also have the html code for the video to be embedded in other websites, like MySpace or Blogs. This will help your site stand out among the crowd and get people to notice it. Finding interested people to contribute to the funny crazy pictures, flash animation videos will take time for a start up venture. </p>
<p><strong>Step 4:</strong> Will there be categories to sort the videos into? For example, if a person wants to upload videos about his dogs, will your sites have a category labeled “Dog Videos”? This will come in handy when a new visitor is looking for funny videos related to dogs. This makes it easier for them to navigate through your site and find what interests them, making them stick around longer to browse the other features on your site.</p>
<p><strong>Step 5:</strong> Some of the crazy pictures and funny video clips on other sites have the option for the viewer to rate the video, and post a comment. These are added features that allow the user to feel important making them come back to the site. The company should therefore think through their plan and get their facts together before putting their site out to the public. And if it is not interesting, or the pictures aren’t funny enough, you will have lost a prospective member. It is therefore advisable for the company to spend time in doing their research to try and come up with an idea to outdo the other funny video websites.</p>

<p><strong>Step 1: Save on Advertising Expenses </strong></p>
<p>Reduce your Advertising Budget. I hear so often from moms who are using paid advertising as their sole method of promoting their online businesses. Advertising is great, but it is just one of the many ways to promote your business. Enhance your exposure with some of the free ways to promote your business, from press releases and articles to more effective networking. Make an effort to stretch beyond your comfort zone to try new ways to draw more traffic to your website. </p>
<p><strong>Step 2: eBay &#8211; List it Now </strong></p>
<p>People are spending money like crazy this time of year. List all your extras on eBay to earn a little extra cash for the holidays. Outgrown clothing, toys that your kids don&#8217;t play with, movies, books &#8212; all the items currently taking up space in your home could put cash in the bank. Plus, by cleaning out the house, you&#8217;ll have more room for the new<br />
goodies that Santa brings. </p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Bartering </strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Whether you are a new entrepreneur or a more experienced business owner, taking control of your finances can feel like a part-time job.  Some simple tips can help you streamline your time, organize your finances and reduce the stress of business money matters.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1.  Keep Your Bills in One Place </strong></p>
<p>When the mail comes, make sure it goes in one place.  Misplaced bills can be the cause of unwanted late fees and can damage your credit rating.  Whether it&#8217;s a drawer, a box, or a file, be consistent.  Size is also important.  If you get a lot of mail, use an area that won&#8217;t get filled up too quickly.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2.  Pay Your Bills on Schedule </strong></p>
<p>Bill paying can be simplified if it&#8217;s done at scheduled times during the month.  Depending on how many bills you receive, you can establish set times each month when none of your bills will be late.  If you&#8217;re paying bills as you receive them, chances are you&#8217;re spending too much time in front of the checkbook.  Although bills may state &#8220;Payable Upon Receipt&#8221;, there&#8217;s always a grace period.  Call the creditor to find out when they need to receive payment before the bill is considered late.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3.  Read Your Credit Card Statements </strong></p>
<p>Most people take advantage of low interest credit card offers but never read their statements when paying the bill.  Credit cards are notorious for using low interest as bait for new customers then switching to higher rates after a few months.  Make a habit of looking at your statement carefully to see what interest rate you are paying each month and if any transaction fees have been applied.  If the rate increases or a transaction fee appears on your statement, a simple call to the credit card company can oftentimes be beneficial in resolving the matter.  If not, try to switch your money to a more favorable rate.</p>
<p><strong>Step 4.  Take Advantage of Automatic Payments </strong></p>
<p>Most banks offer a way to automatically deduct money from your account to pay creditors.  In addition, the creditors usually offer a lower interest rate when you sign up for this payment option because they get their money faster and on-time.  Consider it as one fewer check to write, envelope to lick and stamp to buy.  Just make sure you record the deduction when the automatic payment is scheduled or you run the risk of bouncing other checks.</p>
<p><strong>Step 5.  Computerize Your Checkbook</strong> </p>
<p>Using a software program is a handy way to organize your finances.  Whether it&#8217;s Quicken(r), Microsoft Money(r) or another package, these easy-to-use programs make bill paying and bank reconciliation a cinch.  Computer checks can be ordered almost anywhere and fit right into most printers.  Once the checks are printed, all of the information is automatically recorded in your electronic checkbook.  Furthermore, many banks have direct downloads into these software packages so when money is deposited or withdrawn, the transaction is entered immediately onto your computer.  And, when it comes time to do taxes, it couldn&#8217;t be easier.</p>
<p><strong>Step 6.  Get Overdraft Protection</strong> </p>
<p>Most banks have a service where, if you run the risk of bouncing a check, the money will come from another source.  For a nominal fee, the bank will link your checking account to either a savings, money market, or credit card so the embarrassment of bouncing a check will be avoided.  Call or visit your bank to learn about this convenient feature.</p>
<p><strong>Step 7.  Cancel Unused Accounts</strong> </p>
<p>Whether it&#8217;s a credit card or bank account, write a letter requesting that the account is formally closed.  Not only will this improve your credit score, it is a useful way to avoid money from being scattered all over the place.  Don&#8217;t let department stores and credit card companies lure you into opening new accounts by offering favorable interest rates and purchase discounts.  It&#8217;s easy for credit to get out of hand by taking advantage of every credit offer that comes your way.</p>
<p><strong>Step 8.  Consolidate Your Accounts </strong></p>
<p>If you have several credit card accounts with outstanding balances, try to consolidate them into one.  Be careful and check the balance transfer interest rates and one-time fees.  Also, make a list of all your open Money Markets, Savings, CDs, IRAs, Mutual Funds, and other accounts to see if any consolidation can be done.  Keeping your money in fewer places eliminates all of the guesswork involved and reduces errors.</p>
<p><strong>Step 9.  Establish Automatic Savings</strong> </p>
<p>Create a link from your checking account into a savings account that will not be touched.  This can usually be done through the banks and automatic amounts will be transferred over each month.  Most people will not put money into a savings account on a regular basis.  They may wait until a large tax refund check arrives or some other event to actually deposit money into savings, retirement or other accounts.  If you establish an automatic savings deposit every month, your accounts will begin accumulating money faster than you think.</p>
<p><strong>Step 10.  Clean up Your Files</strong> </p>
<p>Make sure your paid bills are organized in a filing cabinet.  Keep individual files for paid bills.  Go through your files at the end of each year and throw out bills and receipts no longer needed for auditing purposes.  Contact your local IRS office to see how long records need to be kept for audits.  Usually federal tax return audits can be done three years back but cancelled checks may need to be kept for seven.  Consult the Internet for auditing and records-keeping procedures for your state or region.</p>
