We hear all the time about video conferencing and about how it saves time and money; however, we do not hear nearly so much about what applications are available out there that really help people get ahead. Over the next few paragraphs, we are going to offer a few simple explanations for why Dim-Dim is the best application extant for online video conferencing. If you are looking for a fast and easy way to connect to the people that matter most (at least the people who matter the most professionally) then video conferencing with Dim-Dim is the only way to go.

Step 1: Explanation 1 It’s easy to use

Dim Dim has a very simple user interface and this allows you to quickly make the adjustments you want without becoming bogged down in limitless details. As if that is not enough, meeting hosts do not have to install anything with Dim-Dim – this is the case even when broadcast audio or video is required. All you really need is a MyScreen plug-in – and that is only necessary if you want to share your desktop. The key thing to bear in mind is that, if you can browse a web page, you can collaborate using Dim-Dim.

Step 2: Explanation 2 Fast access to current events

With Dim-Dim, it is actually quite easy to join into a web event because that is really required is a simple click of a URL and you are immersed in a web meeting in 8 seconds or less. MyScreen can also be used to share your screen immediately and this eliminates the need to schedule a meeting or to send invitations. If you can IM or phone or use Skype/Tweet, then you have a smart URL that works around your schedule.

Step 3: Explanation 3 It is possible to see and hear everything

With the Dim-Dim technology now available, one can see the presenter’s live video and desktop while hearing multiple Voices over IP (VoIP, in other words). For the larger meetings that do become unavoidable, the Dim-Dim application has a teleconference feature. Last of all, anyone who is at the meeting can actually send instant messages or make annotations on a white board; full participation is basically guaranteed.

Believe it or not, the purpose here is not to shill for Dim-Dim as much as it is to alert people to an exciting new online application that many of us simply know nothing about; if we actually take the time to review the latest technology, it becomes manifest that here is a fast and effective way of staying in touch with people who are far removed from us but whose presence we may constantly need and feel.

Video-conferencing is one of the new fads that has made quite the imprint in recent years – but not everyone should be so quick to jump on the bandwagon. As with any technological innovation, this new method of communicating with others can be quite ineffective when situated in the wrong circumstances. As time allows, we are now going to list three considerations that everyone who is contemplating video-conferencing technology should never overlook when deciding if this is the right “connective tissue” for their organization

Step 1 what sort of clients are you dealing with?

Not everyone is going to burst with excitement at the prospect of being dragged into a video conference: some people dislike being ‘seen’ away from work and some people tend to wander around in a dishevelled state in the comfort and privacy of their own home. If that is you, then a video conference is the last thing you need.

Step 2 Is it really necessary to convey the things you want conveyed?

Sometimes, video conferencing is a needless hassle because a quick email or a quick phone message can be all that is needed. Unless it is a matter that requires some sort of graphic presentation – and most pertinent information can be sent by email, anyways – a video conference can be a superfluous bother.

Step 3 Is simply picking up the cell phone a better, more convenient, way of keeping in touch with everyone?

Relating somewhat to the last point, it requires a certain outlay of funds to access video-conferencing technology – and it is arguable that old stand-bys such as the cell phone can offer just as much value and are the sort of thing that long-standing customers will have more comfort in using. If there is no pressing need to use different technology to reach clients or even staff, then making the change may be a needless bother.

To get right down to it, videoconferencing is one of those things that can be a wonderfully effective tool for organizations that find themselves in the position of having to offer frequent visual presentations to investors, to clients or even to staff; the technology does have its place and is sure to become more popular as the years march onwards.

However, while certainly blessed with many advantages, videoconferencing has its problems: not everyone wants to be seen via video conference; it can be superfluous in some circumstances; and the technology may not really be an improvement upon what is already in use within the organization. When one takes the time to look at the matter carefully, it is always a legitimate question to ask whether or not videoconferencing is really the best thing for your organization and its needs.

Conferencing is a method of interacting with a person at a distance; you can not only hear the person, but you can also see the person live. This is one feature of conferencing which has revolutionized distance learning. You don’t need to travel to other parts of the world and make arrangements of hotels, thus saving you or your business a lot of time and money.

Step 1 Use video conferencing to save time and money

If a businessman in the U.S has a plant in Singapore and he wants to arrange a meeting with his managers there, he need not go there physically. Instead, he can make use of video conferencing to see and hear all his managers and solve his problems without having to spend a lot on travel. For example, with the help of this feature, governors of different states can see and talk to each other without leaving their states. This is the beauty of technology. It is possible for a surgeon to assist a team of doctors operating upon a patient thousands of kilometers away using this technology. In like manner, sites such as videoconference.com can help you find inexpensive video conference services so that you can work with others to help you with your business needs without leaving your business.

Step 2 Consult with others with speed

What seems as commonplace in the form of conferencing these days is something that many people may not have even dreamt of just a few years ago. With the help of video conferencing, multinational companies manage the affairs of their businesses in various countries without any hiccups. As I mentioned, conferencing has come as a boon to seriously ill patients who could not afford to travel to far off places to consult expert doctors. Doctors can not only diagnose, but also perform major operations on a patient with the assistance of local doctors using video conferencing. Similarly, you can consult with other businesspeople without having to leave your office. If you have a multinational operation, video conferencing will help get all of your employees in sync with each other and makes it easier for you to communicate to all of them.

Remember time is money that cannot be wasted.
